Follow one real task
Choose a task your team already performs: qualifying an inquiry, preparing a client update or gathering information for a decision. Trace what starts it, what information it needs, which tools it touches and what a good result looks like. That gives the implementation a concrete job.
Define the handoffs
Decide where an agent can act and where a person needs to review. A draft, a recommendation and an action that changes a customer record have different consequences. Make those boundaries part of the design.
Make the result observable
Agree on the conditions for success before implementation. Test the whole workflow with the people who will use it, including missing information, unusual requests and the path back to a person.
Put ownership next to the system
A useful deployment has somebody responsible for its operation. Training, review and iteration belong in the engagement alongside the software. This is how we approach AI Layer: as part of a working business.
